Make-A-Wish Vermont & Northeast New York announced today that its Summer of Wishes campaign has more than doubled its goal, raising over $40,000 thanks to the generosity of two longtime local supporters, One Credit Union and Performance Foodservice. Launched this July to grant wishes for local children facing critical illnesses, the campaign set a $20,000 goal, powered by a dollar-for-dollar match from One Credit Union. After the community reached that target, Performance Foodservice stepped forward to match the full $20,000, doubling the total. “No family should have to face a critical illness alone,” said Brian Bernadet, General Manager of Performance Foodservice. “A wish reminds them they’re surrounded by a community that cares, and we’re honored to help grant as many as we can.”
