Summer of Wishes
Summer should be a season filled with joy, adventure, and memories for children. But for many kids facing critical illnesses, summer can instead mean treatments, hospital stays and missed moments with family and friends.
This summer, you can help change that.
From May 21 through August 29, Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas is working to help discover and grant 100 wishes in 100 days for local children with critical illnesses.
We can't do it alone.

For wish kid Hunter, support like yours made it possible to experience the adventure of a lifetime.
After being diagnosed with leukemia at just two years old, Hunter spent years undergoing treatment.
This summer, he is thriving, playing baseball, looking forward to second grade, and enjoying the chance to simply be a kid.
Meet Brooklyn
I wish to go to have a prom
When Brooklyn was diagnosed with a nervous system disorder at 17, her teenage dreams changed overnight, but one special evening gave her the chance to create memories she and her family will cherish forever.
Because of complications related to her health and treatment, attending prom wasn't possible.
But Brooklyn never stopped dreaming of a night filled with dancing, laughter, and memories shared with the people she loves most. More than anything, she wanted to be celebrated.
Summer is one of the busiest times for wish granting, but it can also be when support for our mission slows down the most.
Right now, more than 350 children across Central and South Texas are waiting for their wishes to come true.
A wish is more than a moment of happiness. Research shows wishes can help children build the emotional and physical strength they need during treatment and recovery.
